Chakra Meditation Practice

People who think this kind of thing is foolish nonsense and a waste of time do themselves a gross disservice. Subtle energy is a reality: from bio-static, magnetic to electrochemical, our physical bodies, as well as our mental and emotional states, are awash with these ambient tides.

Our biologies are very much like the weather and are, likewise, affected by it, among other things such as health, stress, sights and sounds, scent, touch, and – ultimately – thought (as this is all the former things, ultimately, comprise of).

Personally, I’ve found the “chakra” approach (to beginning to at least try and understand the presence of these factors in our daily lives) possibly the most comfortable and “right”-feeling. It may not make a whole lot of sense to some, but I’d highly recommend trying it. Nobody ever needed to understand the movements of the sun to enjoy its rays.

Being a big William Burroughs fan I’ve been made well aware of the problems of addiction. I saw a British documentary on the use of Ibogaine a few years ago and was astonished by what I witnessed on screen: the apparent ‘turning around’ of a Heroin addict within fourty-eight hours (the approximate lifespan of the drugs effect).
